In 2021, 335 young men were reported missing shortly before they were due to enlist in the military.

Experts assume that the number of evaders of the draft, including those who have not been caught, is substantially higher. The examination into those who are suspected of furnishing money to a counselor named Koo, who gave them counsel on how to circumvent military service, is widening. The broker has been charged with delivering medical information to seven people, who are said to have paid him and his co-worker Kim substantial sums of money.
Ravi, a member of VIXX, and Jo Jae-sung, a volleyball player from the Ansan OK Financial Group Okman, are facing accusations that will be addressed in court on Friday.
